My Story

Welcome to the Southern Prep Boutique Family!! 

My name is Brook Pietrantone and I am the owner of Southern Prep Boutique, a wife, and a mother to our sweet and spunky little girl.  I grew up in the beautiful town of Greensboro, GA just outside of Athens, GA (GO DAWGS!)  I went to college in Savannah, GA, and after getting married, I relocated to a small town just outside of Chattanooga, TN. 

My grandparents and Dad owned and operated a small local grocery store in Greensboro for over 30 years, so I'm very familiar with the retail world. I graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2010 with a degree in Radiologic Science.  After 11+ years of being a fulltime sonographer (ultrasound tech), I was promoted (in the middle of the pandemic) into a management job.  After several years in that position, my husband and I decided it was time for me to step back into a different role, being a fulltime mommy!  Our daughter was 4 at the time, and I knew that my years of having a little girl that wanted to spend time with me were limited. I loved my job and the field that I was in, but it required so much of my time and attention, I didn't feel like I was serving my family well. 

 I have very much enjoyed my time as a fulltime stay at home mommy, but I always knew I wanted to get back into the workforce at some point.  In April of 2024, SPB presented itself, and I am so excited I jumped on the opportunity! I feel like my background in retail and managment, while neither were in the boutique world, led me to this point.  I thank the Lord for this opportunity, and I'm so excited to see what this next chapter of life will look like for our family and SPB. 

 
There's more to life than work, right?! We are very active in our church and are so thankful for the family and friends in our life. We enjoy traveling, music and live entertainment, college football (even though we're a house divided UGA vs FSU), and the Atlanta Braves. My daughter and I love to travel as often as possible and are always eager to explore new places, and even though my husband is a homebody, we go as often as possible. All and all, we are your normal, busy, sometimes crazy family of three and blessed to have so much love and support from our friends and family.
